Good to know
Is it a real ChessKid account?
Yes. Your child has their own ChessKid account. The full access comes through the Chess254 team on ChessKid, which is how we can offer a Kenyan price.
We already have a ChessKid account. Do we lose anything?
No. Choose "Yes, we have a username" and we add that account to the Chess254 team. Your child keeps their games, rating and progress.
We are new to ChessKid. What do we need to do?
Nothing technical. Choose "No, we're new", pay, and we create the account and email you the username and password, usually the same day.
How quickly does it start?
Usually the same day, and always within 24 hours. You get an email the moment your child is on the team.
What happens when the plan runs out?
We email you a few days before, so you can renew in a minute. If it lapses, your child stays on the team for 7 more days while we remind you. After that we take them off the team. The account itself stays, so rejoining picks up where they left off.
Can I pay with M-Pesa?
Yes. Pay with M-Pesa or a card in a secure PesaPal window on this page. You can also pay at the clubhouse desk.
Is ChessKid safe for children?
ChessKid is built for children: no open chat with strangers and moderated play. You can see your child's games any time.
